Individual Therapy
Most of our thought patterns and ways of seeing the world are not necessarily consciously constructed, but rather are informed by a combination of our family of origin and social norms and expectations. I help clients untangle themselves from these norms and expectations so that individuals can think and behave in ways that are consistent with their personal wellbeing.
Change happens over time and it’s important to be compassionate and patient with oneself as you journey through the therapeutic process. In my observation those that make a consistent commitment to weekly therapy sessions are the ones that see the most profound benefit, though I honor that this level of commitment might not be possible from a time and financial perspective.
Therapy sessions are 50 minutes in length which gives both therapist and client time to transition to whatever comes next for them. I encourage clients to be mindful of what comes before/after the therapy hour and to practice self-care in this assessment.
I request 48 hours notice for cancellation. This policy helps to hold clients accountable for regarding the therapy space as sacred and also allows me to create maximum flexibility for my other clients.

Chemical Health
A primary focus of mine is supporting clients in examining their relationship with alcohol and other mood-altering substances. I honor that addiction occurs on a continuum and that one’s willingness to remain totally abstinent from substances varies. I work with my clients as they explore their relationship with substances whether their desire is to better moderate or abstain. I also conduct chemical health assessments and make treatment recommendations and referrals for those in need of this service.

Yoga
So much of our emotional experience is imprinted in the body. As a result, it can be helpful to invite in movement as a way of facilitating healing and emotional wellbeing. Classes are trauma sensitive and themed to incorporate various mental health concepts.
